Pambazuka National Lottery is a Kenyan-based National Lottery established in 2016 and operated by Bradley Limited. In the country, the Lottery is both licensed and regulated by the Betting Control and Licensing Board, the body in charge of lottery regulations throughout the country. The main focus of the Pambazuka National Lottery is to give Kenyans irrespective of their background in society, an opportunity to transform their lives.

It may have been in existence for barely a year, but the economic and social transformation it has triggered is evident. As a responsible lottery provider, the Pambazuka National Lottery is at the forefront in promoting responsible gaming. For one to participate in the Pambazuka 6/49 lottery game, he or she must be 18 years of age and above. The lottery expressly states that their engagement is only for recreation and should not be relied on as a source of income.

How to Play Pambazuka 6/49

The Pambazuka 6/49 is a draw game where players choose 6 numbers and an extra Mzooka Powerball. Based on the outcomes of the draw, you can win lots of money. The Mzooka jackpot rewards winners over Ksh. 100 million, while the two mini jackpots rewards players with over Ksh 10 million each. The draws for the Pambazuka 6/49 are held every Wednesday and Sunday at 1930hrs local time.

In order to participate in Pambazuka 6/49, you need to buy your ticket. There are two ways of doing this; the first being through the Lottery’s retail network while the second way is through the digital platform.

Playing through the Retail Network

There are two types of tickets you can opt for. The first is the simple ticket while the second one is known as the combo ticket.

Simple Ticket

With this ticket, you can enter the draw by selecting your 6 lucky numbers together with the Mzooka Powerball. There are two ways of doing this selection. The first is through a manual system where you pick your numbers one by one depending on your personal preferences. The second mode is where you allow the system to automatically pick the numbers for you. The moment you select the simple ticket, the system automatically recognizes that you can only pick 6 numbers and the Mzooka Powerball per line of play.

It must be said that none of the above number picking methodology gives you an added advantage. They are both ways of trying out your luck and spreading your bet.

When selecting the numbers, you can add multiple lines of play as long as they do not exceed 4 per ticket. In short, every simple ticket gives you 4 panels A, B, C, D with each panel constituting an independent play. When you have finished selecting your numbers and your lines of play, the agent will have to confirm your final selection and thereafter print out your ticket after you have made the payment. Each line of play costs Ksh 80 and entitles you to two draws the first and the second held on the same day. This means for 4 lines of play, you will part with Ksh 320.

Combo Ticket

This is a combination ticket that gives you the latitude to pick more than 6 lucky numbers on one hand and more than one Mzooka Powerball number on the other hand. They are specific combinations you can play on the combo ticket which include:

  • 6 lucky numbers, plus 10 Mzooka Power Balls at Ksh 800
  • 7 lucky numbers, plus 10 Mzooka Power Balls at Ksh 5,600
  • 8 lucky numbers, plus 8 Mzooka Power Balls at Ksh 17,920
  • 9 lucky numbers, plus 2 Mzooka Power Balls at Ksh 13,440
  • 10 lucky numbers, plus 1 Mzooka Power Ball at Ksh 16, 800

Your ticket will show the ticket type, whether a simple ticket or combo ticket, the draw date and the timing, your selection of lucky numbers and the Mzooka power ball numbers as well as the cost of the ticket.
