4 Ways Lottery Players See Life Differently

Do You Play the Lottery Every Week?

Maybe you play it twice a week, and maybe in-between that time you buy scratch cards and keep your fingers crossed. Some people take the lottery extremely seriously, and some take it with a pinch of salt, but however you view it, serious lottery players see life a little differently from those who only occasionally put their numbers on and keep their fingers crossed.

Life for serious lottery players is about opportunity, strategy, and belief. These are all important ways to look at life in general, but when it gets out of hand it can turn even the most even-keeled person into a total and utter monster. Obviously, we hope this isn’t going to happen to you, and that you can find that important balance between determination to win, and a flippant ‘what will be, will be’ attitude.

Despite that, real-time lottery players do see life just a little differently to those who aren’t so bothered.

They See Every Week as a Real Opportunity to Change Their Life, Thinking Positively

There’s a saying, or something very similar, along the lines of that if you think positively, then positive things will happen. Whether you think that’s mumbo-jumbo, or you believe it, seeing every single week as an opportunity to change your life can certainly have many beneficial effects. Yes, one week you could hit the big-time and as result you won’t recognise your life from before, but hoping and seeing the possible big changes that could happen means you’re positive, hopeful, and seeing the good possibilities in life. There’s nothing bad in that, whether you win or not.

They See the Lottery as a Strategy, a Game to Not Just Throw a Little Attention at, but to Focus on Seriously

Many people believe there are ways to up your chances of winning the lottery. Real lottery players believe this and they put forward strategies to make winning more likely. For instance, syndicates can mean you have more of a chance, simply because you enter more times; yes, you have to share your winnings, and if you’re the person organising the syndicate then it comes with a myriad of headache-inducing problems, but the fact of the matter is that you’re playing the game to win. Some also believe in superstitions, putting their numbers on at the same time of the day every week, because otherwise it affects their feng-shui.

You can think this is real or not, but the fact is that lottery players who are serious about winning, and not just hopeful, have belief that their particular system is the one to beat all others. This is another positive trait, because belief and determination are two human signs that many people lack.

Unfortunately, Some Lottery Players Think It Is Their God-Given Right to Win

We’ve focused on the positive traits of lottery players in the last couple of points, but it would be unfair not to point out that some become what can only be described as total and utter monsters. There is nothing worse than that big-headed person who thinks they were born to succeed, and not in a determined, driven way, but in a ‘I’m going to sit on my backside and wait for the world to come to me’ kind of way. This is by no means everyone, but there are a few around, believe me, I’ve met some. The bad kind of lottery players simply want big money with little effort, and these are the ones that will turn into said kind of monster if they do win – let’s face it, it’s Sod’s Law that they will win.

They Believe That Luck Is Real, Magic Happens, And Good Thinks Occur when you’re Least Expecting It

Just to balance this out, because I really don’t like focusing on the negatives in life, the good kind of lottery players, and there are many of them, believe in the magic of life. I’m not talking about Tinkerbell flying down and tapping you on the head with magic fairy dust, I’m simply talking about belief in the magic of good things happening to good people, out of the blue. In a world that seems to be all about negatives, war, fighting, and other rather nasty things, the thought that a life-changing event such as winning the lottery can happen to just about anyone, at any time, is a really positive, and cheerful thought. Lottery winners retain hope that they could be that person, and this forces them to see life in a more ‘anything can happen’, positive way. The good kind of lottery players are often good people at the end of the day.

Serious lottery players do see life a little differently to the rest of us, and when you believe in the underlying magic of life, then I guess you could argue that the world is a slightly more hopeful place. Maybe we should all be thinking the same way as a lottery player, and who knows, maybe that jackpot could fall into your lap instead.
