SuperPremio Review

In May 2002, nearly one and a half decades ago, Loto started its operations in Honduras, opening a new chapter in electronic lottery games in the country. In 2011, the Electronic Lotteries of Honduras entered into an agreement between the government of Canada and Honduras to remit a monthly contribution to support the implementation of good causes and strengthening of institutions within the country. Among the games offered by Loto is SuperPremio.

An Overview of SuperPremio and How to Play

This is a draw game with draws held at 9 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday. Playing this game is relatively easy because it’s all about picking numbers and waiting for the drawing. All the draws are transmitted live through television. Radio is also being used as a platform for the live broadcast.

For you to play here, you must be 21 years and above. Any person under this age is not eligible to buy a ticket. The first step to playing SuperPremio is to visit your nearest point of sale where you will be given a playslip for you to pick your numbers. You are supposed to pick 6 numbers between 1 and 33. The 6 numbers selected constitute a single play. The central computer system of Loto collects all data on the tickets sold on any particular drawing. The cost per play is 10 Lempira.

Tickets

After you hand in your playslip, you will be issued with a ticket. SuperPremio tickets are usually purchased from authorized retail outlets. The tickets issued must contain the following information:

  • The date of the draw, the draw time, and in case your ticket has been entered for more than one game, it will display the number of drawings in which your ticket is eligible.
  • The agent who sells you the ticket will have his number and name appear on it.
  • The ticket will have a serial number
  • On the face of the ticket, the numbers you have selected for playing are also printed out.
  • Lastly, the amount wagered and the price of the ticket is shown.

On a single ticket, the maximum number of individual selection or plays is 10. As a player, it is your responsibility to check whether your ticket has the desired number and that the bet amount is correctly printed. In case the ticket is barred, the company will refund the purchase price of the ticket. However, this is applicable as long as the ticket is taken to the office or to any Loto broker before the draw for which it is issued.

If after the purchase you discover that the ticket a defect, you should immediately return it to the agent before the terminals close the sales window to pave way for the draw. Should the ticket bring issues during the cancellation and the process goes on until the draw time, the ticket will not be refunded.

The reason why you have to safeguard your ticket is that it is the proof that you are in the game. It must be original. Reproduction or copies are not allowed.

The Odds of Winning SuperPremio

As mentioned earlier, SuperPremio drawing is done two times a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9 p.m. In case the times change, the rescheduling is communicated well in advance through a media publication. The machine used in the drawing contains an air turbine that serves as the mixing chamber. 33 numbered spheres are then released into the air chamber.

The draw is witnessed and verified by an auditor, a notary from a registered law firm, and a government representative. This team certifies the integrity of the draw machine as well as the spheres to be released into the air chamber. The spheres are then released into the machine and mixed well before drawing 6 numbers at random. The numbers are captured right from the mixing chamber. These 6 numbers drawn are the winning numbers of the SuperPremio draw. The witnesses also check the numbers drawn.

The lottery company goes ahead to publish the winning numbers in electronic media. The winning numbers can also be obtained from the Loto agents and retail outlets as well as the offices of the Loto company at the national; headquarters.

There are 4 ways you can win in this game, by matching 6,5,4,3 of the drawn numbers. The probabilities are shown below.

  • Matching the 6 numbers wins you the jackpot at odds of 1:1,107,568.
