Palmetto Cash 5 Review

Palmetto Cash 5 is a game offered by the South Carolina Education Lottery and gives participants four ways to win lots of prizes ranging from $1 all the way to $100,000. Players in this 5 number game have an option to spend an extra dollar in each play to enhance their chances to multiply all prizes thanks to the POWER-UP number that is drawn two, three, four or even five times. Each play costs only $1, however, if you purchase the POWER-UP multiplier then you pay $2 per play instead of $1. Palmetto Cash 5 drawings are held daily at 6.59 p.m. and are subsequently televised on local stations.

How to Play Palmetto Cash 5?

Every playslip has five play areas ranging from Play A to Play E. Each play area has 1 to 38 numbers from which you are to choose five numbers. You can either do this manually where you cross the numbers chosen or use the Quick Pick option where the terminal automatically generates random numbers for you and gets you in the draw.

The POWER-UP option is a separate play area on the playslip that costs $1 per play. As stated earlier, this gives you the opportunity to multiply your winnings.

There is also a multi-draw section on the playslip that gives you the option to choose the number of consecutive draws you want to be entered for. The numbers of multi-draw options are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 40.

The Palmetto Cash 5 playslip can be obtained from any of the South Carolina Education Lottery retailers. When marking the slip use a pencil or a pen that has blue or black ink. Red ink is not accepted for marking. When selecting the numbers, exercise care not to make stray marks on the slip because the lottery terminal may confuse these marks for play options or numbers. In the event you make an error when marking your numbers, do not erase rather mark the void box located at the bottom of the respective play area and move to the next area.

For the Quick Pick selection, each play area has a Quick Pick box at the bottom. When you mark this box, the clerk automatically knows that you prefer the Quick Pick option to the manual selection. The POWER-UP number is normally drawn in a separate drawing after the Palmetto Cash 5 drawing has been done. If you purchase the POWER-UP multiplier which ranges from 2 to 5 and win a prize in the main Palmetto Cash 5 drawing, the prize will be multiplied by the POWER-UP number. There are 16 bowls from which the POWER-UP number is randomly drawn. Eight of those bowls are marked number 2, five are marked number 3, two are marked number 4 and one is marked number 5.

When entering the multi-draw, you can also opt for the POWER-UP multiplier in which case you pay in advance one extra $1 for each play to cater for this.
After filling in the playslip, give it to the clerk who will process it through the lottery terminal and hand you a Palmetto Cash 5 printed ticket. These tickets cannot be cancelled. Before each drawing is held, the purchase of tickets is temporarily suspended and resumes after the drawing. This usually happens at 6.45 p.m. every day of the week. The Palmetto Cash 5 ticket is the only instrument you can use to claim a prize in the event you win. Playslips are considered as memoranda documents and cannot qualify as proof of purchase.

For you to take part in Palmetto Cash 5 lottery game, you have to be 18 years of age and above. This is in line with the federal and state requirements for lottery participation.
