Winning the Lottery Without Believing in It – It Happens!

Winning the Lottery Without Believing in It

I’ve said it many times, you need to believe to win the lottery. You need to call the powers of the universe and believe you will win. However, sometimes this is futile. There are lottery players who win the lottery without believing in this. I might as well call them nonbelievers. It’s as if they’re playing the lottery without ever expecting a cash prize being credited to their bank account. Sure, they expect and win the consolation prizes, but they never intend to win the jackpot.

Miracles Happen Out of the Blue, When You Least Expect Them

Well, we can all agree that if we expected them, they wouldn’t be called miracles. The ticket you bought a few hours ago, it might as well be the one you’ve been waiting for the entire time. Believe it or not, this is what happens to every player who wins the lottery.

To some extent, not believing makes the lottery much more exciting. You don’t have any expectations, no high hopes. When you pick the numbers, the jackpot is yours. It feels as if you never played the lottery, yet you have had a wonderful time playing it.

Being Stubborn Sometimes Goes a Long Way

Here’s a story like no other. This is literally my personal favorite because of many reasons, one of which is how the lottery winner had to eat the hateful words. Glenda Blackwell is the right person to win the $1m jackpot in the Carolina Millions scratch-off lottery.

Glenda’s intention was to teach her husband a lesson, to prove him that luck doesn’t favor everybody. Nonetheless, Mrs. Blackwell was in for a big surprise. The $10 ticket she bought, that was supposed to teach her husband a lesson, to make him quit playing the lottery, turned her into a lottery winner, a millionaire!

It’s safe to say that Glenda did not expect the jackpot, not even in her wildest dreams! Well, I guess her husband learned his lesson. By the way, he’s still playing the lottery!

Winning the Lottery Can Seem too Good to be True

There’s an old European tale that perfectly fits this example. A man was lying to his neighbors that there’s a fire in the woods. The neighbors all jumped, prepared to fight the fire and then went in the woods. Fortunately, there was no fire, but unfortunately for the antagonist, he lost the trust of his friends. A few days later, there really was a fire, and the man reported it, but nobody believed him.

The same thing happened to a lottery player from Alberta, Alta. Mr. Raymond Scott’s has been joking that he’s won the lottery for years. Once he did, and he told his wife, she didn’t believe him. She responded with “Whatever!”

I can imagine the look on his face. “Have I’ve been playing the lottery the entire time for this?” I bet even Raymond didn’t believe he won the lottery.

Knowing Is Different than Believing – An Unusual Story

Here’s another interesting example, however, it all depends on your point of view. Donald Gates states he knew was going to win. He didn’t believe, he knew! This can be a great topic of a discussion. Knowing something will happen is different than believing and expecting it to happen, hopefully.

The 74 year old retiree bought a ticket during an unexpected stop, to buy some soda. He entered the 7 Eleven as he was already a lottery winner. Bought one bonus $10 Crossword Scratchers, which was not the winning one. But Donald was onto something. He got another ticket, and this was the winning one. Mr. Gates cashed in a total of $750,000. When asked how he won, he said that he’s a lucky man. He knew he was going to win.

This was his 2nd significant lottery prize. A few years prior to winning this prize, he had won $20,000! One can safely say, Donald really is lucky!

You Don’t Believe You Can Win When You Quick Pick

I love first timers! Don’t get me wrong, but I like to call them lottery virgins. Tina Ferrone and Liam McGee are probably the best example of lottery virgins who didn’t have the slightest clue, that they might become the next lottery winners. The whole situation becomes that more interesting because they used the quick pick option. How in the world do you win the lottery without having any experience, without believing in your numbers, relying on an RNG?

There’s no Karma. Apparently, Tina and Liam know something about the lottery I don’t. Examples such as this, lead me to change the approach how I play the lottery. I have to forget everything I know about the game. Why? Because the things I know make me believe in what I do. I have to start from scratch and I guess I must stop hoping for the best. In other words, I have to start playing the game for the sake of entertainment only.

This just sounds wrong. By the way, in my personal opinion, all players who use the quick pick option do not believe in their skill or their lottery experience. I’ll put Tina and Liam in that basket without any second thoughts.

What’s the Best Proof of a Nonbeliever? – Losing the Winning Lottery Ticket

There are lottery players who put in a great deal effort, hoping, believing that they will win the lottery. Eventually, if they enter a losing spree they lose all hope. They start wandering around, using the quick pick option, trying random, different lotteries, basically, doing everything they hadn’t been doing before.

However, players start doing stupid things as well. They get carried away. They get used to losing. It’s not common, but it happens every once in a while, a lottery winner is not aware that he/she has won, or they simply lose the winning lottery ticket. This is the crème at the top, the icing!

Take for instance Joemel Panisa, a passionate lottery player who had lost all hope in the lottery. How do I know this? The guy lost his ticket. Totally by accident, he was just unaware that he was the winner everybody was talking about.

Lady Luck was watching his back. He was the mysterious winner of $1m. He found the ticket by accident while he was cleaning his drawer in his office. Moreover, he found the winning lottery ticket just 8 days before the expiration period.

Does this look like a believer for you? A nonchalant way to win the lottery, without having a bit of hope, Joemel can show you the way!

Do you believe you can win the lottery? Does winning the lottery require some sense of belief, faith in your numbers?
