Is There a Best Day of the Week to Play the Lottery?

What Is a Best Day of the Week to Play the Lottery?

If you play the lottery regularly then you have no doubt spend much of that time dreaming of what you will spend your winnings on. Maybe you will give some money to charity, go away on a massive holiday, help out family and friends, render yourself debt-free, or simply have the biggest shopping spree known to man, but however you plan to spend your winnings, imaginary or otherwise, you have to win the damn thing first.

You’ve probably heard the saying that you’re more likely to get struck by lightening than win the lottery, and there’s certainly some truth in the fact that most people go through life without hitting the jackpot. You might win a little here and there, but the odds are certainly stacked against most people.

I Don’t Want to Weigh You Down with a Bleak Picture But …

Look, let’s be honest, your dreams of winning the lottery do, to a major extent, lie in the hands of Lady Luck, and you could clear out your karma bank, do good deeds, and read every book on the laws of attraction and abundance, but when you play the lottery, you are simply in a pool of countless others who are all dreaming of the same thing.

Now, bleak picture aside, someone has to win it, and of course, that someone could be you – cue that large scary hand that used to play a big part in the UK lottery TV advertisements, it could be you!

If you believe in astrology, fortune tellers, and the phases of the moons and planets, then maybe playing the lottery on your so-called ‘lucky’ day could reap a few rewards.

Every astrological sign has a phase when they’re supposed to be luckier than other times, for instance, if you’re a Cancerian then you need to be checking out your monthly forecast to see when the stars and planets are going to align in order to bring you more luck and abundance. If you play the lottery on that particular day, maybe you could attract more in the way of luck, and hit the jackpot you so badly dream of.

Mumbo-jumbo?

Maybe so, but whilst there is no proof to counter-act this claim, I say you should at least try. The odds are pretty ridiculous anyway, so anything is worth a go, quite frankly.

Do You Believe That Strategies Are Key?

Aside from looking to the skies and listening to those with a crystal ball, there are many who believe that playing the lottery on a day when the jackpot is higher could mean you have more chance of winning at least something. There isn’t much scientific evidence to back this up, because the number of players doesn’t tend to change your odds of winning, but again, isn’t it worth a go?

In the UK at least, it is thought that your odds of winning the jackpot are 176,000,000:1 for every play, against you winning. That’s a scary amount of zeros, but look at it this way – the more tickets you buy, the more chance you have of winning. In its most basic form, maybe that’s the best way to hit the big time.

Do You Believe That a Crystal Ball And Alignment of the Stars Can Help You in Your Jackpot Endeavours?

I guess it all comes down to what you believe, and the art of positive thinking. If you ask me, personally, do I believe there is a better day to play the lottery? No, I don’t. You can throw theories out there all you like, but I don’t believe that buying a lottery ticket on a Wednesday alters your chances of winning come Saturday. If you want to win, up your chances in other ways, such as buying more tickets (in moderation, of course), entering into a syndicate, or some other strategy, but I don’t believe that listening to your horoscope will make much of a difference.

I’d like to be wrong, of course I would like to read that a Cancerian is likely to hit the big time on Wednesday, because that Cancerian could certainly be me, but think about it – is every Cancerian likely to win the lottery on that Wednesday, or just one?

In my opinion, buy a ticket, keep your fingers crossed, and keep your karma clean – if you do that, you really do never know.
