6 Worst Lottery Player Mistakes and How to Fix Them

I’ve met thousands of lottery throughout the past decade or so. I’ve learned a great deal about lottery in general, but I’ve also learned a lot about the worst lottery player mistakes. There are mistakes that can be fixed in an instant, such as keeping your tickets in a safe place or buying your tickets well ahead the draw takes place. These are child’s play. I’m talking about the worst of the worst. I’ve never even thought of some of these until I actually met lottery players who make them every single week.

If you don’t want to be put in the same basket like them, you better read on. If you’re already in the basket, it’s time to get out of it.

Playing Quick Pick Reduces Your Odds of Winning the Lottery

I can’t believe there still are passionate lottery players who are playing the lottery for years now, and they’re still using the quick pick option. You not only reduce your odds of winning the lottery, but you’re missing all the fun. You should be in charge of your lottery play, you’re behind the steering wheel. I’ve seen lottery players who know a lot about lottery in general, but they’re still slacking by using quick pick. I mean, really?! They already have extensive knowledge. Why not put it into practice and increase your chances of winning that lottery jackpot you’ve been dreaming for years?

Come up with your own numbers. I’m 100% positive that there’s that one single number combination that’s been running on your mind for quite some time now. Go! Buy a ticket!

Consecutive Numbers – Mix Things Up a Bit, It Should Be Fun

Do I even have to explain this one? By playing consecutive numbers you’re playing a lottery within a lottery. It’s like you’re betting against your odds. Even if the winning combination includes consecutive numbers, it’d be 2 numbers at best. And guess what? You can’t win the jackpot with only 2 numbers. Mix things up. Don’t be a part of the player group that makes the worst lottery mistakes.

Experiment, explore! You never know how close you are to winning the lottery if you don’t make a bold move. Playing consecutive numbers is not a bold move, it’s a stupid one. Go ahead and check the history of your lottery. Has anyone ever won the lottery by playing consecutive numbers? I think that sums up this paragraph.

Busting Your Bank During Holidays – Money Management Is Crucial

Just don’t! Ok? Good. You must be asking yourself, but why? I’ll try to put this in as simple words as possible.

During holidays the player count increases exponentially. This means, even if you win the lottery, you’re going to share the same faith as theirs. Not that it’s a bad one, but you’re going to share the 1st prize with a lot of lottery players. Furthermore, why would you break your budget solely because it’s holiday season? Keep it tight. You’re a lottery player with attitude, with character. You have principles and you stick to them.

Playing the Lottery All by Yourself – Two Heads Think Better than One

I get it, you’re independent and you can get by all by yourself. However, when it comes to winning the lottery things are still simple, but complicated. For example, now two persons are the same. You experience things differently than your friend for instance. If you join forces, you become three times as good. How? Well, you bring your experience to the table, your friend brings his or hers, and from here on you craft your own strategy. It’s easier, effective, efficient and it’s way more fun and entertaining to play the lottery with a friend. You share the excitement, the thrill, the joy and you always have someone to tap you on your shoulder when you’re not performing as well as you hoped.

Changing the Approach Each Draw – Not Sticking to Your Strategy

Over the years, I’ve been making this mistake myself. According to my results this is bad, and I mean very bad. It’s better to take your time, come up with a clear cut strategy that will be ideal for the lottery you’re playing,  than to change your approach to playing the lottery every single week. By doing this you miss out on great opportunities. How? Well, for example, maybe the approach you switched from was the right one. Give your numbers some time before you decide to get back to drawing board.

Now, I’m not even thinking of changing my numbers. I have high returns and I think I’m very close to win my jackpot. This will be a dream come true and I can finally throw it in my friend’s face saying “I was right!”

Borrowing Money to Play the Lottery – Be Responsible

This is the worst of its kind. It should probably be at the top of our worst lottery player mistakes list. If you run out of money solely because of the lottery, you should reconsider your activities. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t risk, but if you’re taking a risk, risk your own money. That said, if you can afford to play the lottery you probably shouldn’t.

One of my friends came to me and asked me if I can lend him some money so he can start play the lottery as well. The answer was short and simple, I told him I can lend him money for food or rent, but not for the lottery. Instead of borrowing money, go and get a job that will allow you to fuel your lottery play.
