Slovakia Loto Review

Slovakia Loto Review

Launched on April 15, 1957, the Slovakia Loto has continued to excite players with its generous prize payouts and relatively simple way of participating. Before October 1, 2002, the Slovakia Loto was known as SPORTKA.

Playing Slovakia Loto is easy because you have a pool of 49 numbers and you just need to choose 6 winning numbers out of those.

The drawing of winning numbers is held twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays. Previously, it was done only on Sundays, but this ended in 1999. In addition to the 6 numbers that players choose, there is a further bonus number they choose.

How to Play Slovakia Loto

As pointed out in the opening paragraph, playing Slovakia Loto is very simple and the chances of winning are also quite exciting. You can double bet which means you enter for a wager on both first and second draws. The cost of this is 0.70 euros.

In 2003, the joker was introduced which is the last winning number and those who correctly match it win a bonus prize. The good news is that you can now play via the internet. This gives you the convenience of participating right from your office or home and there isn’t any need for you to hassle getting your ticket from physical stores. Playing via SMS is also possible in Slovakia Loto.

Out of the total amount waged in any particular draw, 50% makes up the prize pool and this amount is divided equally between the first and the second draw. There are different winning categories in Slovakia Loto and the prize amount is distributed into all the categories.

Buying the Ticket

In order to be entered for a draw, you must first buy a ticket. The way to do this is simple; visit the nearest Loto retailer and ask for a playslip. On the playslip, you will see an array of numbers from 1 to 49. Choose 6 of those numbers per play.

The choice can be through the manual pick or a Quick Pick. The difference between the two is that for the first one, you have to do the manual picking yourself. This could be based on previous numbers you played or if you are new, based on the numbers you think will give you a win.

The Quick Pick is a system generated random numbers which you have no control over, but are a good option if you have no preferred numbers.

When you finish picking your numbers, give the retailer the playslip and the respective amount which is based on the number of plays you have entered. The retailer will then issue you with a ticket that bears the numbers you have picked.

Before you leave the retailer’s place, ensure you confirm your ticket and crosscheck the dates for the draws and the numbers printed on it. In the event you have entered for more than one draw, it is important to confirm that all the draws have been captured.

Signing Off the Ticket

When you first receive your ticket, you have to sign it at the back. The reason behind this is that a Loto ticket is a bearer document which means any person having it can claim a prize if the ticket has won. To prevent this from happening to you, you should ensure you append your signature at the back.

Remember, you can never claim a prize without producing the ticket. Because of this, you need to put your ticket in a good place until the drawing is done.

The Odds of Winning Slovakia Loto

  • The fifth category requires you to match 3 numbers out of the 6 numbers. When you do this, you win 40% of the prize pool.
