The Arizona Lottery Review

In the US, lotteries are run by the states, and those who live in Arizona have one game to choose from, namely the Arizona Lottery. As a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association, it offers a nice variety of games, including Powerball, Mega Millions, Pick 3, Fantasy 5, and many more. The latest legislation extended the Arizona State Lottery activity to 2035, but, likely, the deadline will once again be extended when the due date will draw near.

The Richest Games are AZ Powerball and AZ Mega Millions

Next year, the Arizona lottery will celebrate 20 years since it offers Powerball, a multistate lottery that offers a jackpot that frequently exceeds $100 million. Whenever someone scoops the big prize, the amount resets at $40 million, and it is rolled over until someone matches the winning numbers. On Wednesday and Saturday, draws are being held with the standard price of a ticket being two dollars. Players can choose to pay an additional dollar to have lower-tier prizes doubled if they match the winning numbers.

The Mega Millions was created back in 2002 as a follow-up for The Big Game, but it was only made available to state residents by Lottery AZ in 2010. Unlike the Powerball, the cost of a ticket is of only one dollar, but once again, players are allowed to pay the odd dollar to have all winnings multiplied except for the jackpot. Numbers are extracted on Tuesdays and Fridays with the pot starting at $12 million.

Arizona State Lottery offers both Scratchers and Fantasy 5

The number of people playing scratch card lottery has increased in the last decade, as a result of prices being bumped. In addition to playing Arizona lottery numbers, state residents compete in the Scratchers game that has prizes ranging from $1-$1 million. The price of tickets also varies between one dollar and $20, with a nice variety of titles to choose from.

Fantasy 5, on the other hand, is more attractive since it has a jackpot starting at $50,000, and the price of a ticket stands at one dollar. On Monday and Saturday, 5 of the 41 numbers are drawn, and there is also an add-on for this game that goes by the name of EXTRA. Players don't need to wait for the draw to find out whether they won or not, as a computer chooses the numbers.

The Pick Arizona games

Nationwide, Pick games are gaining traction, and Arizona lottery has two such games for its loyal players, with the most popular one being Pick 3. For as little as $.50, players can win prizes of $250 or $500 depending on whether they back on the straight or not. The days to watch for are Monday and Saturday.

The Pick game, on the other hand, has a jackpot that is 20 times larger, starting at $1 million while the cost of a ticket is a flat one dollar. 6 of 44 numbers are extracted from a plastic bubble on Wednesday and Saturday, and just like the Fantasy 5, it has the add-on game called EXTRA that makes instant winners.

Other games offered by Lottery AZ

The name is self-explanatory for the Weekly Winnings, as it will present the winners with a check of $1000 per week for an entire year, with all taxes paid. 2by2 is another game offered by the Arizona lottery, with a jackpot of $20,000 and the ticket price of just two dollars. Since the beginning of 2012, the Millionaire Raffle was made available in the state, and those who pay $20 for tickets have the chance of becoming one of the 1100 yearly winners, with the draw taking place in the first week of January.
